ASIST is an intensive, interactive workshop designed to build confidence and competence in responding to someone at immediate risk of suicide. The training is practical and skills-focused, with a strong emphasis on safe planning and connecting people to supports. It includes five learning sections: Preparing, Connecting, Understanding, Assisting and Networking (local resources and support pathways).

Facilitated by HSE North East (Cavan, Louth, Meath and Monaghan) in partnership with the HSE National Office for Suicide Prevention.
