The Parents Plus Early Years Programme is a supportive, evidence-based programme designed to help parents and carers better understand and respond to the needs of young children aged 0–5 years.

Facilitated by Parenting Cavan, the programme runs weekly over six weeks and provides practical tools to support positive behaviour, emotional development and family wellbeing. Sessions are interactive and offer a safe, confidential space for parents to reflect, learn and connect with others.

Topics covered include supporting children’s self-esteem and confidence, encouraging positive behaviour, tuning into your child, establishing routines and rewards, praising good behaviour, managing misbehaviour, and looking after yourself as a parent.

This programme is delivered online, making it accessible to parents across Cavan and beyond. A stable internet connection and device with Zoom access are required.
