Young people across Cavan, Monaghan and nationwide can now access free, round-the-clock online mental health support through Togetherall, a clinically moderated peer-to-peer community commissioned by the HSE.
Togetherall is a safe, anonymous online platform where members aged 16 to 30 can connect with others who understand what they are going through. The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is moderated at all times by licensed and accredited mental health professionals who monitor and manage risk within the community.
The initiative builds on Togetherall’s established presence in third-level colleges and aims to widen access to mental health supports for young people in communities across Ireland.
What Togetherall Offers
Togetherall provides a range of supports designed to meet young people where they are:
-
Anonymous peer support: Members can write posts, share experiences, respond in group forums, and even use digital art to express feelings.
-
24/7 clinical moderation: Registered mental health professionals proactively safeguard the community and respond to risk where identified. While not a crisis service, situations involving elevated risk are actively managed and escalated where necessary.
-
Self-guided courses and resources: Members can access structured self-help courses, self-assessment tools, journalling features, and over 100 psychoeducational articles focused on coping strategies and resilience.
-
Signposting to local supports: The platform also connects users with appropriate local or crisis services if needed.
Research shared in the programme materials indicates that 83% of surveyed users found Togetherall helpful for their mental health. Many members report reduced loneliness and increased confidence in sharing their experiences.
The platform may be particularly helpful for:
-
Young people experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood or isolation
-
Those on waiting lists for services
-
Individuals currently engaged in treatment who need additional support
-
Young people reluctant to access traditional services or facing barriers to in-person support
Because the service is anonymous and immediately accessible, it removes many of the barriers that can prevent young people from seeking help. There are no appointments or referrals required.
Anyone aged 16 to 30 living in Ireland can self-register by visiting www.togetherall.com/ireland
