Building on the success of previous years, the 2025 Green Ribbon Campaign will roll out nationwide throughout September, encouraging people everywhere to “wear the green ribbon” and start conversations about mental health.
Highlights from 2024 included:

600,000+ ribbons distributed

3,000 temporary tattoos and 15,000 ‘Time to Talk’ tea bags shared

Visibility at major gatherings such as Electric Picnic and the National Ploughing Championships

Collaboration with hundreds of corporate partners and 165 charities

Cross-party political support, including a video message from An Taoiseach
For 2025, Shine is inviting partners to:

Display Green Ribbon branding in workplaces or outlets

Host staff events or ambassador talks

Light up buildings in green during September

Join Shine’s six-step Workplace Programme to foster an open culture around mental health
Shine has also strengthened its environmental commitments by switching to recycled RPET ribbons, recyclable backing cards, and minimal packaging, and by hosting this launch online to reduce its carbon footprint.
