The new resources have been created as part of ongoing inter-agency support for young people across Cavan and Monaghan. Both the compact wallet card and the A2 display board bring essential wellbeing information together in a clear, youth-friendly format.

Each resource includes:

  • Common Stressors: Everyday issues affecting young people such as school pressure, friendships, body image, social media, bullying and family concerns (as shown in the illustrated sections on both page 1–2 of the wallet card and the A2 board).

  • Five Ways to Wellbeing: Simple actions—Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, Give—that can help young people build resilience and improve their overall wellbeing. These are highlighted in colourful panels in the centre of both resources.

  • Signs of Stress: Helpful prompts to recognise when stress may be building, including sweating, headaches, fidgeting, muddled thinking, or feeling tense or overwhelmed, as displayed on the right-hand side of both resources.

  • Support Services: A wide range of local and national supports, including Childline, Outcomers, Pieta, spunout text support, Rape Crisis North East, GP/ED emergency contacts, and YouthThrive Cavan Monaghan, with phone numbers, text lines, and websites clearly listed. These details appear on the left and bottom panels of both documents.

The wallet card is ideal for schools, youth projects, sports clubs and community groups to share with young people. The A2 Wellbeing Board is designed for display in classrooms, youth spaces, GP waiting rooms, community centres and anywhere young people gather.

Together, these resources aim to normalise conversations about mental health, signpost practical help, and encourage small everyday actions that support wellbeing.
