The Suicide Crisis Assessment Nurse (SCAN) service offers timely, professional mental health assessments for people experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm.

Referred through GPs, the SCAN team contacts patients within one working day and arranges an appointment within three days. The service includes comprehensive assessment, safety planning, identification of immediate needs, and guidance on further support or services.

Follow-up support is also provided.
