ASIST is a two-day intensive training aimed at helping participants recognise the signs of suicidal thoughts and provide immediate intervention support. Designed for caregivers and professionals who regularly engage with vulnerable groups, this course enhances participants’ ability to assess risk, create safety plans, and link individuals with support services. It involves role-play, supervised practice, and group work to build a framework of effective suicide intervention. Attendance for the full duration is mandatory, and prior experience in mental health training (e.g., safeTALK) is recommended.
